celebrating the couple that brought you the chaotic brotherhood that is Guruswamy and Hariharan.

they got arranged married August 27th, 1996. now, in 2026, we are celebrating 30 years of their marriage, out of their own volition. does this now make it love marriage???

while we figure out the answer to that question, we wanted to invite all of our loving friends and family to the middle of nowhere (i.e. Durham, NC) and host y’all for a weekend of pure chaos.

it’ll be all the best parts of a wedding weekend without any of the drama or waking up super early for crazy muhurtham times. think pre-wedding party, post-wedding lunch, and a reception with only the fun and social parts LOL

when? Friday, August 28th and Saturday, August 29th 🥳
where? Durham, NC 🇺🇸

we’d love for everyone to come/fly/drive/train/boat/walk to Durham on August 28th, go crazy August 28th and August 29th, and then you can peace out and disappear on August 30th ✌🏾

we have a group block at a Marriott and Courtyard a few minutes away from our Durham house, we'll send full details after RSVP 🛏️please RSVP by Monday, January 5th, 2026 — link below 🤩

on the real, here’s what we have planned (for the olds and youngs — if you can’t tell what you are, please refer to our glossary below):

August 28th evening
— for the olds, dinner and karaoke at our Durham house
— for the youngs, a barcade and brewery outing in downtown Durham

August 29th morning
— for the youngs (and olds if they want to indulge), a private gun range with professional firearm safety training to exercise our 2nd amendment rights

August 29th noontime
— for the olds and youngs, lunch at our Durham house and henna for the women and allies

August 29th evening into night (7pm - 2am)
— for everyone, reception in downtown Durham
— like a full reception thing with a social hour, dinner, a few funny speeches, some performances, and then an open dance floor with our very own homegrown DJs (and an open bar for those who feel inclined)
— and then after-party for the youngs somewhere secret
